Cougar - the powerful cat of prey with several names

Cougar, puma, mountain lion, silver lion, couguar - all one and the same animal. Although the cougar is not associated with the big cats, but the small cats, he still is one of the largest cats in the world. After all its shoulder-height is up to 70cm, its head-body length can be up to 155cm and the tail can be up to a whole meter long.
Pumas are known to be very agile and strong. For example, it is possible for a cougar jump up to 5.5 m high in a tree from the ground.

Indeed the cougar is able to run very fast for short distances (50 to 70 km / h), but he uses this ability only very rarely.
